Honne
The London duo HONNE, formed by Andy Clutterbuck and James Hatcher in the early 2010s, crafts electronic pop tinged with soul and R&B, centered on intimate songwriting and warm synthetic textures. After a series of early EPs in 2014 and 2015, including “Warm on a Cold Night” and “Coastal Love,” HONNE shaped their sound around a blend of slow electronic ballads and more rhythmic tracks built on rounded basslines and subtly treated vocals. The project consolidated with the album “Warm on a Cold Night” in 2016, which established the duo on UK and European stages, followed by “Love Me / Love Me Not” in 2018, marked by more contrasting songwriting and several collaborations, notably with Izzy Bizu. HONNE continued with “No Song Without You” in 2020, largely recorded in Los Angeles, and then “Let’s Just Say the World Ended a Week from Now, What Would You Do?” in 2021, which broadened the spectrum toward brighter pop while retaining an R&B foundation. Regularly touring the UK, Europe and Asia, the duo is part of an international electro‑soul scene in which electronic production primarily serves songs oriented around voice and melody.
