PREP
Formed in London in 2015, PREP brings together Tom Havelock, Llywelyn ap Myrddin, Guillaume Jambel and Daniel Radclyffe around a sophisticated pop sound that blends indie pop, contemporary R&B, jazz and pronounced 1980s textures, with a clear fondness for city pop and yacht rock. PREP’s sound rests on supple basslines, soft-keyed keyboards, crisp rhythms and a measured vocal delivery, in a format that stays melodic without sacrificing arrangemental precision. After the EP Futures in 2016, driven by “Cheapest Flight”, the band developed this aesthetic on Cold Fire in 2018 and Line by Line in 2018, while opening their music to a few collaborations, notably with Reva DeVito. PREP moved to the album format with PREP in 2020, then followed with the EP Back to You in 2022. In 2024, PREP released The Programme, their second studio album, featuring contributors such as Eddie Chacon and Phum Viphurit. Across their releases, the London quartet has established a coherent identity between soft pop, light soul and understated groove, presented on stage both in the UK and internationally, particularly in Asia where PREP has built a loyal audience.
