Emanuel Satie

Based in Lisbon after emerging in Germany, Emanuel Satie has been developing a sound since the early 2010s centred on melodic house with deep textures — between progressive tension, luminous harmonies and a more direct club groove. He reached broader recognition in the mid-2010s with releases supported by the European house and techno scene, and has issued tracks on labels such as Innervisions, Diynamic, Cocoon and Crosstown Rebels, which illustrate his balance between melodic house, supple tech-house and an electronic aesthetic geared toward the dancefloor. His career has taken him to diverse settings, from clubs like Fabric or Watergate to more open events such as Hï Ibiza, Burning Man, Warung or Papaya Playa Project. In 2022 Emanuel Satie co-founded Scenarios with Maga, Sean Doron and Tim Engelhardt, a collective and label that extends a practice already marked by collaborations and remixes, notably around Pete Tong and CamelPhat. On Emanuel Satie’s tracks, compositions advance through clear rhythmic layers, mobile basslines and melodic motifs that retain a club function without tipping into excess.
