Guns N' Roses
Guns N’ Roses is an American band formed in 1985 in Los Angeles around Axl Rose and Slash, soon joined by Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin, and Steven Adler. Fueled by the Sunset Strip hard rock scene, the band skyrocketed with 1987’s Appetite for Destruction, which became one of the best-selling debut albums in rock history thanks to its iconic tracks. In 1991, Guns N’ Roses cemented its global status with the ambitious Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II, releases that firmly established an aesthetic blending raw energy with more expansive compositions. After a period marked by numerous lineup changes and a lengthy gestation, Axl Rose released Chinese Democracy in 2008, continuing the band’s trajectory in a new context. Beginning in 2016, the return to the stage of the lineup uniting Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan opened a new chapter that brought together multiple generations of fans. Between massive tours and a discography that has become essential, Guns N’ Roses remains associated with a historic image of American rock and an influence that spans the decades.
