AC/DC

AC/DC is an Australian band formed in 1973 in Sydney by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Marked by an immediately recognizable identity and an aesthetic drawn from electric blues rock, AC/DC established itself early on as one of the leading acts in international hard rock. After several local releases, the band achieved a global breakthrough with High Voltage (1976), followed by Let There Be Rock (1977) and Highway to Hell (1979), the last album recorded with singer Bon Scott before his death in 1980. The arrival of Brian Johnson ushered in a new era with Back in Black (1980), which became one of the best-selling albums of all time. The following years confirmed the band's status with landmark albums that cemented their presence in popular culture. Despite internal changes and the loss of Malcolm Young in 2017, AC/DC continued its story with Power Up (2020), conceived as a tribute to its co-founder. With a discography spanning five decades and a lasting influence on amplified rock as a whole, AC/DC remains synonymous with power, endurance and a style that has become globally iconic.
