Dream State

Based in south Wales, United Kingdom, Dream State became part of the British alternative rock and post-hardcore scene from the mid-2010s. The band developed a sound that blends heavy guitars, strongly rhythmic sections, more atmospheric passages and highly melodic vocal lines, with lyrics focusing on vulnerability, mental health and personal rebuilding. First noticed for their self-released EP "Consequences" in 2015, Dream State refined their artistic direction with "Recovery" in 2018, issued by independent label UNFD, which placed them between post-hardcore, alternative metal and modern rock. The 2019 album "Primrose Path" continued this aesthetic, playing on contrasts between tension and calm, and helped the band establish themselves on club and festival stages across the UK and Europe. After several lineup changes in the early 2020s, Dream State have continued to explore songwriting that mixes frontal impact with more ethereal passages, while remaining associated with the contemporary UK rock and metal movement.
