Danny Saucedo

Born in Stockholm in 1986, Danny Saucedo has developed a Swedish pop style leaning toward Europop and dance-pop, with a distinct taste for catchy choruses, rhythmic productions, and songwriting crafted for both the stage and musical television. He first came to attention on Idol in 2006, then launched a solo career with Heart Beats in 2007, followed by Set Your Body Free in 2008 and In the Club in 2011 — a period dominated by English-language tracks and a dance-oriented pop aesthetic. At the same time he formed the trio E.M.D. with Erik Segerstedt and Mattias Andréasson, a project that played a significant role in his trajectory in the late 2000s and early 2010s. From the mid-2010s he shifted toward a looser, more personal Swedish-language pop, notably on Hör vad du säger men jag har glömt vad du sa (2015) and TRETTIOSEX (2022). His career regularly intersects with Melodifestivalen, where he appears as both performer and songwriter with In the Club (2011), Amazing (2012), Dandi dansa (2021) and Happy That You Found Me (2024). His discography also includes collaborations with Therese, Lazee and Tommy Körberg, remaining focused on melodic pop and the song format.
