Symphoniacs

Symphoniacs takes the form of an electro-classical project with variable geometry bringing together instrumentalists from several European and international scenes. The collective blends classical repertoire, orchestral writing and codes of electronic music in a format designed for the stage, with violin, cello, piano and electronics in constant dialogue. Rather than a fixed ensemble, Symphoniacs operates as a pool of musicians under the direction of Leomar, with among the performers who have passed through the project artists based in Berlin, Vienna, Graz, London, Copenhagen or New York. Symphoniacs emerged in the mid-2010s and released a self-titled first album in 2016, then a Japanese edition of Symphoniacs in 2019. The project has circulated in concert halls, festivals and public events in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan, with stops notably in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Vienna, London or Tokyo. The music of Symphoniacs rests on arrangements that cross club textures, pop pulsation and classical references, in an aesthetic of crossover that prioritizes live energy and melodic clarity.
