Péter Bence

Born in 1991 in Hungary, Péter Bence began practicing piano at an early age and was composing as a child. He received classical training in piano and musical writing in his home country, then studied at the Berklee College of Music, where he earned a Master of Arts in film music and music production between 2010 and 2015. His career sits at the crossroads of classical piano, pop and film music, characterized by a very physical, percussive style designed as much for arrangement as for stage reinterpretation. He attracted wider attention in the mid‑2010s with his piano adaptations of songs by Michael Jackson, Queen, Sia and even “Despacito,” which were widely circulated online, while continuing to develop his own compositions. His discography includes Green Music (2002), Nightfall (2008), The Awesome Piano (2020) and PianoSphere (2023). Alongside his concert and arranging work, he also held the Guinness World Record for the most piano key strikes in one minute from 2012 to 2017, an episode often associated with his highly rhythmic approach to the instrument.
