Riskee & The Ridicule

Formed in Kent, England, the quartet Riskee & The Ridicule crafts a sound that blends punk, melodic hardcore, spoken word and inflections from British grime and rap. Riskee & The Ridicule made their mark on the English alternative scene with taut, direct tracks driven by lyrics rooted in social and personal realities, far beyond mere protest. This hybrid identity, often summed up as grime punk, relies as much on punk’s energy as on a strongly marked rhythmic diction and dark choruses, without aiming for stylistic posturing. The band consolidated this approach with the album Body Bag Your Scene, released in 2019, which helped broaden their audience beyond the British punk circuit.
