Julian Sas

The Dutch guitarist and singer Julian Sas has been part of the European blues‑rock scene since the mid‑1990s, developing from the Beneden‑Leeuwen region of the Netherlands a project centered on a power trio that bears his name. Steeped in electric blues and the rock of the 1960s and 1970s, Julian Sas has built a repertoire where energetic boogie, blues ballads and heavier numbers intersect, with a strong emphasis on improvisation and extended guitar passages. With the Julian Sas Band he has toured extensively through clubs and festivals in the Netherlands, Germany and several other European countries, establishing himself firmly on that concert circuit. His discography, begun in the 1990s, comprises studio albums and live recordings; among them For The Lost and Found (2004) and Bound To Roll (2012) illustrate the evolution of his songwriting toward a more melodic blues rock. Over the years Julian Sas alternates original compositions with reinterpretations of genre classics, while maintaining a steady live presence that remains central to his artistic identity.
