Dirty Sound Magnet

Rooted in the Swiss rock scene, Dirty Sound Magnet has been developing since the early 2010s a sound focused on psychedelic rock with progressive overtones, nourished by blues, 1970s hard rock and a more contemporary take on alternative rock. The trio structures its tracks around long build-ups, rhythmic shifts and instrumental passages in which the guitar and rhythm section occupy a central role, with a marked taste for live improvisation. After several early recordings, the band released the album Western Lies in 2017, establishing an aesthetic that combines heavy riffs, psychedelic atmospheres and more direct choruses. In 2019, Transgenic deepened this conceptual side with themes related to technological and social mutations, while DSM-III, released in 2022, brought Dirty Sound Magnet closer to the energy of their stage performances, featuring tighter compositions while remaining open to instrumental digressions. Active across European and British stages, Dirty Sound Magnet builds its career around sustained touring, where the live element, the hypnotic dimension of rehearsals and interaction with the audience become a natural extension of its studio work.
