Remember Sports

Formed in 2012 on the Kenyon College campus in Gambier, Ohio, Remember Sports began under the name Sports around singer-guitarist Carmen Perry, bassist Catherine Dwyer and classmates, playing an indie-rock style that mixed pop-punk and emo. The band released its first album, “Sunchokes,” in 2014, followed by “All of Something” in 2015—records that established a direct sound marked by deeply personal songwriting and melodic, taut guitars. After relocating to Philadelphia, they became more firmly part of the local indie scene and changed their name in 2017, before releasing “Slow Buzz” in 2018 and “Like a Stone” in 2021. Centered on Carmen Perry, the lineup settled with Catherine Dwyer, guitarist Jack Washburn and drummer Connor Perry, refining a style defined by the interplay of bright melodies, fast rhythms and introspective lyrics. Remember Sports has since played extensively on American indie stages, maintaining a DIY-adjacent aesthetic and a collaborative songwriting approach that pays attention to arrangement details while preserving the raw energy of their early records.
