Komodor

Komodor is a rock band from Douarnenez in Brittany that stakes a claim to a raw, organic and fiercely vital sound. With their High-Energy Rock tinted by groove and finely shaped vocal harmonies, the five musicians deliver music without artifice, fuelled by instinct and electricity. Inspired by genre icons such as MC5, David Bowie and T. Rex, they draw on the legacy of seventies rock to produce a modern, wild and poetic take. Their debut album Nasty Habits, released in 2021, won critical praise for its authenticity and vintage verve. Back with a second, more nuanced and introspective record, Komodor asserts an even more personal identity, where the guitars roar as much as they breathe. On stage the band is a crowd-pleaser: festivals like Freak Valley Fest, Motocultor and Fête du Bruit have vibrated to their incendiary energy. Faithful to their Breton soil yet looking to the horizon, Komodor continues to push the boundaries of classic rock to offer a free, carnal and resolutely contemporary version.
