Ben Zucker

Born in 1983 in Ueckermünde in the former GDR and raised in Berlin, Ben Zucker first worked in rock bands before turning to German-language songwriting closer to pop and contemporary Schlager. Established on the German-speaking scene in the mid-2010s, he signed with a major label and released the 2017 album “Na und?!”, driven by guitar-based pop-rock, direct choruses and lyrics focused on relationships, doubts and everyday life. An expanded reissue, “Na und?! Zugabe!”, appeared in 2018, followed in 2019 by “Wer sagt das?!”, which confirmed his move toward a modern Schlager sound mixing mid‑tempo ballads and more upbeat tracks, always sung in accessible German. Ben Zucker mainly performs in Germany, Austria and Switzerland — on arena tours, at major festivals and on TV shows dedicated to Schlager. His raspy voice, use of pop and rock elements and highly narrative songwriting place him on the border between German popular music, Deutschpop and sentimental song, with a constant emphasis on a direct connection to the audience.
