Bruce Soord

Born in Arnstein, Bavaria, in 1972, Bruce Soord is a British musician whose career spans alternative rock and progressive rock. A singer, guitarist, bassist, keyboardist and producer, Bruce Soord founded The Pineapple Thief in 1999 and became its principal songwriter, gradually developing a melodic, often introspective writing style in which rock formats intersect with more atmospheric textures. Parallel to the band, he has pursued a solo career that emphasizes the voice, stripped-down arrangements and a more direct compositional approach. His discography under his own name includes Wisdom of Crowds, recorded with Jonas Renkse in 2013, then Bruce Soord in 2015 and All This Will Be Yours in 2019. Across these projects, Bruce Soord moves between rock songcraft, contemporary progressive and measured acoustic or electric atmospheres, in a register that remains connected to British and European progressive rock scenes without being entirely limited to them.
