Infinity Knives

Born in Tanzania under the name Tariq Ravelomanana and later settled in Baltimore after a childhood spent across several African countries, Infinity Knives develops music at the crossroads of experimental hip-hop, orchestral composition, ambient, and a deliberately fragmented pop writing. A multi-instrumentalist and producer, Infinity Knives brings forward his solo project with In the Mouth of Sadness (Ugly Nigga From Heaven) in 2019, followed by Dear, Sudan in 2020, two albums that fuse strings, samples, spoken word, rap, and electronic textures in forms that are free yet structured. His trajectory also unfolds within various collective frameworks: within Loris, a project assembled with Randi Withani and David Jacober, he explores a more post-rock and experimental facet on the album Loris (2020); in duo with rapper Brian Ennals, Infinity Knives refines a more frontal, abrasive, and political approach on Rhino XXL (2020), King Cobra (2022) and A City Drowned in God’s Black Tears (2025). Anchored in the Baltimore scene while maintaining a transversal aesthetic, Infinity Knives builds a discography where chamber music, sound collage, and avant-garde rap intersect.
