billie
Billie, based in France, is developing a project that sits between pop, rock and new wave, driven by sensitive writing and a flexible voice with nuanced intonations. Trained at the American School of Modern Music in Paris, and later in London, Billie belongs to a generation of artists who blend Anglo-Saxon references with a more intimate approach to singing, with tracks infused by melancholy, sweetness and a certain emotional tension. Billie’s early releases take the form of several EPs, featuring an airy aesthetic, sober arrangements and a taste for contrasts between vocal fragility and more frontal energy. On stage, Billie gradually builds her path through a developing live schedule that accompanies the assertion of her musical identity. Thus Billie evolves a personal universe, at the crossroads of alternative pop and rock-inflected accents, without limiting herself to a single sonic color.
