Samuraï

On the current Spanish scene, Samuraï is developing a project focused on melodic urban pop that draws on rap as well as R&B sounds and an aesthetic close to bedroom pop. Originally from Spain, Samuraï writes and sings mainly in Spanish, with often introspective lyrics that address relationships, everyday life and the emotions tied to coming of age. Samuraï’s tracks rely on moderate tempos, melancholic atmospheres and sung choruses that sit alongside more spoken verses, in continuity with the new wave of artists blending slow trap and alternative pop. Across digital releases, from singles to short projects, Samuraï refines a direct songwriting approach and a minimalist production that keeps the voice at the forefront, while gradually incorporating more varied arrangements. Present on major streaming platforms and on club and mid-size stages, Samuraï situates their work within a network of artists and collectives from the young Spanish generation, with constant attention to visual identity and the overall coherence of their musical universe.
