Alli Walker

Born in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Alli Walker is part of a new wave of Canadian country that blends maritime heritage with Nashville’s North American culture. She trained early on in piano and drums, later took up the bagpipes and competed internationally with them. Inspired by the careers of American singer‑songwriters, she turned down a scholarship to the University of Arkansas to pursue country music. A brief period studying classical voice at the University of Prince Edward Island led her to settle in Toronto in 2009, where she developed her songwriting and voice around contemporary, personally driven country storytelling. She recorded her debut album, The Basement Sessions: What I’ve Learned So Far, at home with her husband and released it in 2019, then moved to Kelowna, British Columbia, before releasing Growing Up in 2023, propelled by the single “Red Wine or Whiskey” and several pre‑released tracks. Later based in Nashville, Walker released singles such as “The Whiskey’s Gone,” “Hung Up” and “I Like Big Trucks,” signed with RECORDS Nashville in 2024, performed on major local sports stages and received a nomination for Female Artist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards. In 2025 she continued her international trajectory with the single “First Time Living,” a duet with Gretchen Wilson, and signed with 604 Records for Canada and Australia.
