Saint Avangeline

Born in Tampa, Florida in 2002 and raised in Atlanta, Saint Avangeline, the stage name of Adeline Troutman, has since 2020 been developing an universe situated between indie pop, dream pop, and alternative pop, with a gothic and ethereal aesthetic that later opened to touches of darkwave, metal, and screamo. She began by releasing her music on YouTube and SoundCloud, where several Lana Del Rey covers reinterpretations from her own perspective also circulate. Saint Avangeline released her first album Gardener of Eden in 2022, from which the track 'Lilith' comes, then continues with Inferno in 2024, where her melodic writing confronts darker and more abrasive textures. Her singing, often placed at the forefront, sits within compositions blending dreamy layers, contained dramatic tension and references to religious, literary, and Gothic imagery. Her journey is also anchored in a visual culture nourished by the Southern United States and in themes related to identity, mental health, and trauma. In 2025, Saint Avangeline participates in the duo The Death of Lilies with Adam Bravin of She Wants Revenge, extending this darkwave facet in a collaborative format.
