Ari Abdul

Based in New York, singer‑songwriter Ari Abdul is part of a dark alternative pop scene that intersects indie rock, dream pop and gothic touches. Ari Abdul came to attention in the early 2020s with a string of self‑produced singles, including “Babydoll” (2022), which circulated widely on social media and established her hushed vocal signature over saturated guitars and slow rhythms. Her writing mainly explores relationships, desire and a kind of urban melancholy, with vocals often surrounded by dense reverbs and shoegaze‑like textures.
