Isabel LaRosa
Between dark pop and alternative R&B, Isabel LaRosa cultivates a nocturnal, cinematic universe sustained by highly narrative songwriting. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, she grew up in a musical environment and began composing early with her brother, producer Thomas LaRosa, who remains a central collaborator on her project. The first phase of her career was built online, thanks to short, tightly crafted tracks designed for social media, before songs like “i’m yours” brought her wider visibility on streaming platforms. With the EP “i’m watching you” (2022), Isabel LaRosa refined a dark aesthetic — hushed vocals, minimalist rhythms and atmospheres close to genre cinema — where themes of obsession, desire and fear take center stage. The EP “you fear the god that loves you” (2023) continues this trajectory, opening her writing to more melodic colors and structures closer to alternative pop, while retaining a taste for tense moods and repetitive choruses. Between studio work, highly scripted music videos and live shows, Isabel LaRosa is gradually securing her place in the new generation of American pop tied to internet cultures.
