Bibi Club

Based in Montreal, Canada, Bibi Club brings together singer Adèle Trottier-Rivard and musician Nicolas Basque in a francophone project that moves between indie pop, minimal synth-pop and soft electronic textures. Born on the Montreal scene in the late 2010s, the duo develops an intimate world in Bibi Club supported by spare drum machines, repetitive keyboards and a voice that draws as much from chanson as from alternative pop. After a self-titled debut EP released in 2019, Bibi Club refined its songwriting on the album "Le soleil et la mer", released in 2022 on Secret City Records, where the tracks alternate hypnotic pulses, slow tempos and luminous melodies in French. Nicolas Basque's previous experience with Plants and Animals and Adèle Trottier-Rivard's vocal collaborations with various artists from the Quebec scene feed Bibi Club's sonic signature, which favors restrained arrangements, repetitive rhythmic motifs and a production approach centered on the tension between organic warmth and synthetic coolness. On stage, Bibi Club translates this duo format into a set where electronic elements and the voice take center stage, in an aesthetic that is at once nocturnal and accessible.
