Theo Nasa

Based in south London, Theo Nasa develops a techno approach informed by the heritage of British club music. Growing up in 1990s London, he was initially influenced by jungle and drum and bass, and later by the rawer energy of early-2000s grime—influences he has since channeled into a darker, more tense register. As a producer, DJ and vocalist, he constructs sets where percussive techno, breaks, rave accents and driving rhythms intersect, with arrangements conceived specifically for the club. In 2013 he launched the label Alien Sound Trax as the main vehicle for his productions and has also released on labels such as Rekids, WATB, VoxNox and UNCAGE. His path has taken him to diverse contexts, from Fabric to Boiler Room, and to events like Creamfields, EXHALE and KNTXT. Theo Nasa’s voice also appears on projects associated with Rødhåd, Len Faki and Ramiro Lopez, extending a body of work in which vocal elements occupy a dense, abrasive electronic aesthetic aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
