Glaskin

Based in Munich, the duo Glaskin brings together two producers and DJs from the German electronic scene, working in a strain of techno that balances percussive rhythms, atmospheric textures and a bass-music accent. Glaskin develops a sound in which club structures mingle with more experimental elements, playing on contrasts between discreet melodic lines, deep pads and fragmented patterns bordering on IDM. First noticed in the second half of the 2010s, the project initially grew through digital and vinyl releases on several European labels, notably the Debris Disk EP (2019, Hotflush Recordings), which helped establish Glaskin’s sonic signature. The duo alternates dancefloor-oriented productions with more contemplative tracks, often designed as transitions between different tempos within a single set. Active on the club scene in Germany and internationally, Glaskin favors DJ sets that cross techno, breaks, ambient and electronica, carrying their meticulous studio work into live performance and adapting their pieces to both festival contexts and more intimate venues.
