Angelo Kelly

Born in 1981 in Pamplona, Spain, into the Irish‑American Kelly family, Angelo Kelly grew up on the roads of Europe and North America with the family group The Kelly Family. He became one of the group’s singers and its drummer at an early age. After the band’s peak activity in the 1990s, Angelo gradually moved toward an independent career—initially as a songwriter and producer within the Kelly clan, and from the 2000s onward under his own name. Based mainly in Germany, he has developed a musical world mixing pop, folk and acoustic songwriting, shaped by Irish and American influences and sometimes bearing a spiritual dimension. Alongside his solo work, Angelo founded Angelo Kelly & Family with his wife and their children: a group centered on Irish folk repertoire, rearranged traditional songs and original compositions, presented in a family‑style concert format across venue tours, festivals and seasonal events in the German‑speaking region. This dual trajectory—between the legacy of The Kelly Family and more intimate collective projects—defines Angelo Kelly’s path on the European pop‑folk scene.
