Andreas Kümmert

Born in Lohr am Main, Bavaria, in 1986, Andreas Kümmert is part of the German scene between blues rock, soul and folk, with a repertoire focused on singing and songwriting. After beginnings in local bands and rock formations, he developed a style marked by a raspy voice, a playing approach rooted in the blues and compositions with simple structures, often built around guitar and acoustic arrangements. Andreas Kümmert gained media attention through his participation in the 2013 edition of The Voice of Germany, which he won, before pursuing a career as a songwriter and solo performer, mainly in Germany. The album Here I Am, released in 2014, established this direction between folk ballads, classic rock influences and touches of soul, followed notably by Recovery Case in 2016 and Lost and Found in 2018, which continue this blend of intimate registers and blues-rock energy. On stage, Andreas Kümmert alternates between band formats and more stripped-down concerts, in clubs or at festivals, where he showcases a repertoire sung in English, centered on vocal expressivity and an anchoring clearly inspired by the American blues and rock traditions.
