HNTR

Based in Toronto, HNTR develops club-oriented electronic music situated between house and techno, with heavy bass, dry percussion and a dark tonality that preserves a playful touch in the samples and vocal hooks. HNTR first drew attention with releases on Factory 93 and mau5trap, before further structuring activity by launching No Neon, both a label and a platform tied to Toronto's nightlife. This dual anchoring, between production and organization, sheds light on HNTR's trajectory, built within North American underground circuits and around formats designed for the club. In 2022 HNTR received a Juno Award in the category dedicated to underground dance, an important milestone in the career. In 2024 HNTR released, notably, "Yes B!tch", then "No Brake$" with Roshin, and also produced a remix of Cloonee's "Stephanie". From one release to the next, HNTR maintains a clear line: rhythmic tension, short refrains and a direct effectiveness aimed at the dancefloor.
