On May 23, 2026, Newspeak in Montreal welcomes HNTR. A Toronto-based producer and DJ, he shapes club electronics between house and techno, driven by heavy bass, crisp percussion and a dark edge, while still playing with samples and vocal hooks. First noticed through releases on Factory 93 and mau5trap, he extended his momentum by launching No Neon, a label and platform rooted in Toronto’s nightlife. This dual anchoring—between production and event organization—is reflected in a career forged in North American underground circuits. Winner of a Juno in 2022 in the category dedicated to underground dance, HNTR followed up in 2024 with Yes B!tch, then No Brake$ with Roshin, and a remix of “Stephanie” for Cloonee. Behind the decks his line remains clear: rhythmic tension, short hooks, and direct, dancefloor-focused efficiency. At Newspeak, he will unfold this sound without detour, tailor-made for the club.
