Bersærk

Active since the mid-2010s, Bersærk has established itself in the Danish heavy scene by blending stoner, rock and metal sung in Danish. Formed in Aarhus, the band builds its identity around massive riffs, an expressive vocal range and lyrics inspired by Norse mythology, images of raw nature and a warrior imagination. Bersærk drew attention with the album “Mulm” in 2015, followed by “Jernbyrd” in 2018, which confirmed a songwriting approach focused on powerful structures, often mid-tempo pacing and a strong emphasis on chanted choruses. The band has played extensively in Denmark and neighbouring countries, maintaining a regular presence at Nordic rock and metal festivals, which has positioned Bersærk as a recognizable representative of Scandinavian stoner sung in its original language. On “Sol” (2020) the group pushed its compositions toward darker and at times more progressive atmospheres, without abandoning the directness or the repetitive rhythmic motifs that structure their approach. Over these releases Bersærk has consolidated a world where the weight of the guitars, catchy melodic lines and local cultural references coexist, sustaining steady activity between studio and stage.
