Bruno Pelletier

Born in 1962 in Charlesbourg, Quebec, Bruno Pelletier emerged in the early 1990s on the Francophone scene as a singer and actor rooted in rock and pop. After starting out in several local bands, he turned to musical theatre and joined major productions, notably the Paris run of Starmania in the 1990s, then Notre-Dame de Paris, where his portrayal of Gringoire took him back and forth between Quebec and Europe. In parallel, Pelletier developed a solo discography blending pop, ballads, and stronger rock influences, with a marked taste for polished arrangements and a clear emphasis on the voice. Throughout the 2000s, he mounted numerous stage projects in Quebec, returned regularly to musical theatre—most notably with Dracula – Entre l’amour et la mort—and explored more intimate or jazz-tinged registers with expanded ensembles. Remaining active between studio work, touring, and theatrical productions, Bruno Pelletier thus moves between chanson repertoire, the world of Francophone musicals, and occasional collaborations with other Quebec artists.
