MADMADMAD

Born out of studio sessions in Tottenham, north London, MADMADMAD has been built around four musicians and a songwriting approach designed as much for movement as for tension. MADMADMAD develops a hybrid sound where disco pulse, mechanical krautrock, post-punk energy, noise accents and references to early-2000s electronic aesthetics intersect, with tracks often characterised by tight rhythms and a deliberately off-kilter atmosphere. The project emerged in the late 2010s with the EP Pax (2017) and took another step in 2019 when it joined the circle around J.I.M and Ninja Tune. Its trajectory continued with MoreMoreMore (2020), which confirmed this way of combining danceable grooves, rock tension and harsher textures. Having played events such as Les Trans Musicales and Eurosonic in 2020, MADMADMAD sits within a circuit where the indie scene, club culture and physically intense live formats meet. MADMADMAD therefore remains committed to a formula in which experimentation comes through direct, nervous songs conceived for the stage.
