Frizzy P & Mr Cole

Frizzy P & Mr Cole took shape in 2015 in the garage of a house in a Paris suburb where Mr Cole grew up. The project brings together Pauline Sampler, aka Frizzy P, born in France but raised in the UK during the 1990s, and Mr Cole, a producer grounded in a musical imagination nourished by old records and hip-hop textures. As a duo, Frizzy P & Mr Cole develop intimate songwriting carried by a soulful, sometimes airy voice over instrumentals with warm, melancholic and often nostalgic hues. Their aesthetic sits at the crossroads of hip-hop, soul and understated pop, giving considerable space to storytelling and atmosphere. A first recorded milestone appeared in 2017 with LADI DADI. From the outset, Frizzy P & Mr Cole have operated in a compact format where the complementarity between production and performance shapes the project's identity, between Parisian roots and British influences.
