Frizzy P, a singer and songwriter born in France and raised in the United Kingdom, brings a voice that moves between rap and song, with a storytelling sensibility informed by her bicultural background. Alongside her, Mr Cole, a self-taught composer and beatmaker, assembles samples with a boom-bap sheen and organic sounds, keeping composition at the core. Their meeting in 2015 in the Paris suburbs forged a complementarity in which performance and production advance hand in hand.

Across the Ladi Dadi trilogy and the side project The Backroom Tape, the duo has honed its signature: a trip-hop base with jazzy accents, muted atmospheres and often introspective lyrics, where personal experience sometimes spills over into social critique. Frizzy P & Mr Cole play without unnecessary ornamentation, relying on flow, textures and a discreet tension that carries their tracks.
