Rooted in a family of musicians in the United Kingdom, RUBII is shaping a project where hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and shades of garage-soul intertwine. RUBII's voice, composed and melodic, sits within often intimate productions, with particular attention to vocal harmonies and hushed atmospheres. The lyrics favor an introspective, conversational register—close to a diary—addressing relationships, doubts, and the small adjustments of everyday life. Following a first single, "Bitter Lips," which marked their studio debut, RUBII has gradually built a discography around short formats.
