Blu DeTiger

Born in New York in 1998 and raised in NoHo, Blu DeTiger developed an early, central relationship with the bass, shaped by funk, disco and house — influences she blends into danceable, melodic indie pop. Active on the New York scene from her teens, she played in bands, DJed Manhattan clubs and improvised bass lines over disco- and house-oriented sets. She drew attention in the late 2010s with her early releases, including "In My Head" (2019), produced by The Knocks, before appearing as a touring musician with Kitten and alongside Caroline Polachek and FLETCHER. During the 2020 lockdowns, her bass covers on TikTok broadened her audience and supported the rise of her solo project. Blu DeTiger released the EP "How Did We Get Here?" in 2021 and that same year featured on Bleachers' "Stop Making This Hurt." Her songwriting then shifted toward a more assertive pop sound while keeping a prominent bass and a clear connection to club culture. In 2024 she released her debut album, "All I Ever Want Is Everything," with collaborations including Mallrat, Uffie, Mayer Hawthorne and Alexander 23, which she subsequently promoted on tours and at festivals in the U.S. and Europe.
