Formed in Madrid in the late 2010s, shego operates within the Spanish indie rock scene as a trio, performing songs in Spanish that blend indie rock, pop-punk, garage and power pop. shego began circulating on the Madrid scene around 2020 thanks to several singles, then refined its identity with the EP Tantos chicos malos y tan poco tiempo in 2021. The band has developed a dry, melodic sound centered on taut guitars, direct rhythms and songwriting that retains a sense of immediacy, without relinquishing catchier, more pop-oriented choruses. This approach continues on Suerte, chica, released in 2023, where shego slightly widens its palette while remaining committed to short formats, pronounced rock tension and a confrontational tone. Associated with the label Ernie Records, shego is part of the recent Spanish alternative scene, navigating club circuits, festivals and indie programming with a repertoire that ranges from punk energy to more hook-driven passages without changing register.
