Blackpanda

Originally from Madrid, Blackpanda brings together composer, producer and singer Marta Marlo, with a background in the performing arts, and composer, producer and sound engineer Andrés Lim, trained in sound design for film. Born out of several years of studio work, Blackpanda began its public trajectory in 2020 with a first single in Spanish and gradually established an identity between electronic pop, experimental textures and R&B and trap influences, driven by intimate songwriting and vocals often treated as a distinct sonic element. Through a series of singles, including “miss u”, the duo refined an aesthetic where pop melodies, detailed electronic production and melancholic atmospheres coexist, culminating in the release of the EP “22”, which synthesizes this sonic and visual exploration. Alongside Blackpanda, Marta Marlo and Andrés Lim develop composition and production work for film and for other artists, drawing on a multidisciplinary approach where music, fashion, dance and graphic design converge within a shared audiovisual universe.
