Sean

Born in Paris in 1998 under the name Elio Menais, Sean grows up in the Gambetta district in the 20th arrondissement and emerges from the late 2010s on a French rap scene attentive to introspective writing and melodic forms. His universe blends French rap, autotuned singing, melancholic tones and more direct refrains, with a marked taste for contrasts between fragility, tension and brighter, sunnier moments. After a first EP Mercutio in 2019, Sean quickly refines his trajectory with MP3+WAV in 2020 and then the mixtape À moitié loup the same year, where his personal writing gains more scope. Restez Prince, released in 2022, extends this evolution in a more constructed format, between intimate storytelling, urban spleen and contemporary production, notably with a collaboration with S.Pri Noir. In 2023, Sean publishes Se laver de ses péchés, before releasing Où est passé Zeu Dog? in 2024. Sean also moves within a network of artists close to the new Paris rap scenes, with appearances alongside Zinée, Rounhaa or Rad Cartier. From project to project, Sean develops an aesthetic where candor, melody and a certain nonchalance coexist in short, often tight tracks that favor atmosphere as much as the text.
