Info
This Is The Kit lands at Théâtre Fairmount in Montreal on March 28, 2027, with its smooth folk rock and indie at its core, carried by Kate Stables' direct, straightforward vocal phrasing. Conceived from the outset as a project with variable geometry, the group plays on contrasts: acoustic strings and a snapping banjo, rougher guitars when needed, slightly off-kilter rhythms that give texture to the songs without weighing them down. On stage, the pared-back writing takes center stage, between softness and tension, with that eye for detail that has helped the project grow across its records, from Krülle Bol to Bashed Out, then Off Off On and Careful of Your Keepers. A night to let yourself be swept up by a set where the songwriting stays at the core, and where each arrangement seems to breathe in time with the audience.
