Info
On November 17, 2026, Freak Slug arrives at the Ritz PDB in Montreal with her project led by Xenya Genovese, blending deviant pop and cultural collage. Trained in the visual arts and self-taught in music, she thinks of her tracks as a whole: voice, narration, iconography, and video clips progress together, with a taste for autofiction, millennia-old symbols, and an internet-infused aesthetic. After short formats that established her universe, she expanded the scope with her first long-form release, I Blow Out Big Candles, conceived as a coherent extension rather than a simple sequence of tracks. On stage, the energy is more direct: writing that plays with humor, the body, and pop references, without losing the thread of her narratives. A date to discover what Freak Slug transforms when that whole world goes live, in front of an audience.
