Info
De Staat are returning to Warsaw for a concert at the Hybrydy club on March 25, 2027. The Nijmegen-based band, driven by the ideas of Torre Florim, has for years blended alternative rock with pulsating rhythms that edge toward dance and post-punk. In live performances, their sound relies on angular guitars, a prominently elongated bass, and repetitive motifs that quickly get under the skin, while the chanting choruses do their job without unnecessary adornments.
This is tight, rhythmic, and direct playing, but with room for more synthetic tones, which can be heard on their later records. The set can easily span different stages of their discography, from early energy to newer, more electronic leanings, still keeping that characteristic groove and tension. If you’re into a concert where rhythm drives the whole narrative, this Hybrydy night is exactly about that.
