Info
Wende will take the stage on March 7, 2027 at Patronaat in Haarlem, and that is exactly the kind of evening when a concert can also become theater. Since the early 2000s she has been building her own universe where chanson, pop and rock blend together, with a stage approach that leans as much on performance and mise-en-scène as on singing. She broke through with a love for the French chanson and cabaret, but then gradually moved more clearly toward a personal sound with electronic textures and sharp dynamics. That hybrid line runs through to her more recent work, in which Dutch takes a larger place and her voice is even more central. Expect in Haarlem no standard set, but a show that shifts between intimacy and tension, with songs that are carried as much by melody as by performance.
