Info
On February 20, 2027, Vanessa Williams comes to Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham with a show built on the voice-first style that’s followed her since the late ’80s. Expect a set where pop, R&B and soul sit side by side with jazz-tinged ballads and a taste for finely shaped melodies. From early landmarks like The Right Stuff to the smoother, groove-driven writing of The Comfort Zone and The Sweetest Days, her catalogue has always balanced intimacy and polish, with arrangements that leave space for phrasing and storytelling.
What makes this concert worth catching live is how naturally she moves between recording-artist material and her long stage experience. Years of Broadway and musical theatre work have sharpened her sense of dynamics, pacing and character, so even the most familiar songs can land like scenes. Whether she leans into contemporary R&B textures or classic, standard-like moments, the focus stays on interpretation: clear lines, controlled emotion, and that effortless switch between warmth and precision.
