Info
Too Many Zooz land in Bristol for a show at Thekla on January 21, 2027, bringing their self-styled “brass house” on stage. Born in the corridors of the New York subway, the trio built a mainly instrumental sound that collides avant-jazz instincts with EDM drive, punk urgency, and brass-band funk. Expect tight, looping horn riffs, baritone sax lines that double as bass, and a rhythm section that keeps everything locked to the floor.
Viral since their early Union Square busking days, Too Many Zooz have turned that street-level intensity into a touring live act, designed for movement rather than nostalgia. Their tracks lean on repetition, groove and sudden left turns, with the kind of punch that made them a natural fit beyond the jazz circuit.
Along the way they’ve popped up as a guest brass section, including work around Beyoncé’s Lemonade era, without losing the raw, percussive identity that made Subway Gawdz and their later releases hit so hard in a live setting.
