MEUTE

MEUTE, the techno marching band from Hamburg, lands at The Prospect Building in Bristol on 30 April 2027. Formed in 2015 around trumpeter Thomas Burhorn, the eleven-piece reimagines techno, house and deep house with a fully acoustic setup, all brass and percussion, keeping the relentless pulse of club music without laptops. The project first turned heads in 2016 with a street performance of Rej by Âme, then built a reputation across festivals, clubs and concert halls for sets that shift from tight horn riffs to rolling drum patterns designed for movement.

On stage, MEUTE blends reworks of electronic staples by the likes of Laurent Garnier, Disclosure, Dennis Ferrer or Deadmau5 with original material developed over the albums Tumult (2017), Live in Paris (2019), Puls (2020), Taumel (2022) and Empor (2024). The result is a hypnotic, percussive flow where crescendos, breaks and basslines are carried by sousaphone, snares and trumpets.
