On May 16, 1967, Jacques Brel offered his last recital at the Casino Palace in Roubaix, my hometown. I hadn't been born yet, and yet if I told you that I met him in that very hall, many years later. And that this encounter would change the course of my life, and lead me to embark on a journey.
Between daydream and reality, HK tells us how Jacques Brel burst into his life one day, instilling in him the idea that to realize one's childhood dreams, one often only needs the desire and the courage to go after them.
Accompanied by Adrienne Auclair on cello and Thibault Delbart on piano and guitar, HK reprises some of Jacques Brel's most emblematic songs while telling us his own story. A story like a song, inspired by Jacques Brel's work: that of a child who becomes an artist, and an artist who remained a child.
