Sylvie Vartan returns to the stage with 'Ma Vie en Chanson, avec Vous...', a concert conceived as a journey through her repertoire, straddling yé-yé hits, French pop, and more orchestrated variety. Born in Bulgaria and based in Paris in the 1950s, she established herself from the early 1960s with straightforward songwriting, memorable melodies and an energy fueled by twist and rock'n'roll. From one decade to the next, her career also tells the evolution of popular song, between Anglo-American adaptations and classics tailored for the stage. Throughout the set, you'll hear tracks that have marked several generations, from 'La plus belle pour aller danser' to 'Comme un garçon', 'La Maritza' or 'Irrésistiblement', not forgetting the later, more expansive pieces where the orchestration takes up more space.
