Overmono head to Rough Trade Nottingham on August 12, 2026 for a DJ set centered on Pure Devotion, their new album on XL. Formed by Welsh brothers Tom and Ed Russell (aka Truss and Tessela), the duo have carved a distinctive place in British electronic by linking techno, breakbeat, UK garage and bass music, with a sense of fragmented rhythm and basslines that bite quickly.
As a DJ, Overmono balance club efficiency with finer details: taut percussion, vocal samples that recur like refrains, sharp builds and clean drops, with rave heritage in mind but ears wide open to more melodic textures. After the Arla EPs and tracks like Everything U Need or Cash Romantic, this set offers a chance to hear how the duo's aesthetic extends and transforms in the Pure Devotion era, between tension, groove and fleeting melancholy.
